i see, as you know i been buying more than 200 cherry and don't seem to have much luck in keeping them..
hence low grade could add as a learning platform
i'm been thinking if i ought to redo my shrimp tank..
grow some foreground plants without co2, just excel alone.
remove/give away the snails
replace the sand with soil.
least, more greenie to the eyes.

Yeah, the cheaper grade cherry shrimps do react similarly to tank conditions, so they can be used as a sort of "commando" shrimp colony to monitor water conditions, at least if their population numbers decrease its less taxing on the wallet.
If you restarted the tank and all traces of the previous medication/additives were removed, along with using soil designed for shrimps and adding ample plants, it'll definitely make a big difference in their overall survival rate.
If anyone know any LFS have this offer pls let me know I want.
Check at Y618... you have to visit them regularly to check, those bulk bags really do get snapped up very fast. Chances are if you wait for someone to post it on the forum, all the bags would already be grabbed.
I guess you could also make friends with the shop uncle or auntie, see if they can reserve a bag for you when stock comes in.![]()
Hehe got mine today. But they are all really small. All like fries. When I left C328 there were still 5 packets of x50pcs. Then another tray have bigger shrimps thats $8 to $10 for 10pcs. 1 packet is sunkist.
Hope cherry shrimps are cheaper now. So you bought 50 for how much ?
Thinking of having Killies with shrimps.

Yeah, the majority of those bulk bag cherry shrimps are culled younger ones, some of them might actually be culled abit too early so there is a small chance a few of them might grow up and display some red color (maybe even close to sakura-grade)... can consider it like a bonus.![]()
Was just at C328 near counter area are many pkt of shrimps. Many red/cherry and others! From $10 to $50 big have small also have lai ah lai ah!

Y618 has a lot. Ytd i saw, 50pcs for like $15? Usually like colorless and shrimplet size.
Usually they stock up on Wednesday. I feel that C328 shrimp is the cheapest. Too bad C328 is too far from me.
