How can I tell the difference between a Vallisneria tortifolia (twisted Vallisneria from South-East Asia) from other taller Vallisneria species, e.g. V. gigantea or V. gracilis?

It's difficult to tell the difference while they are being displayed in a tank of a LFS. Worse, they just tell you that those are "cockscrew". But which species/type?

    Thanks.

Not sure if the photos are http://www.dennerle.de/ENGLISCH/e_frameset.htm can be of help?
Under "Plants" on the menu, search for "Vallisneria".

At Teo's Plant Farm, I have usually came across the following:
    - Vallisneria gigantea
    - Vallisneria spiralis
    - Vallisneria tortifolia

Not quite ... but thanks, Juggler for the reply.

I got some of the V. tortifolia (emerged form) from the Teo. But Teo is damn far unless I want to kill time on a weekend

In a water tank, they are quite difficult to tell apart until they are matured. Then you can see the difference in height. I need a sure way
