My tank in office start to grow this algae on the glass.

Is this green dust algae? Anyone have experience getting rid of it?

My tank is considered as semi low tech as I dose in excel, K2SO4, CaNO3 and KH2PO4 from Lushgro.

Looks like green dust algae. If you are not injecting co2, I don't see a need for all the ferts actually. As long as your soil is planted tank soil and you feed the fauna, it should be fine.

To get rid of green dust you can get 1 Otto or 1 Yamato.

Somehow my Otto and Nerite snail dun seems to survive in this tank.

I read from the following website that I should leave it alone.

    Usually I scrub.
Oto will help. But they tend to be "lazy" after consuming manufactured food.
Pleco is still the best u feel.. Get a mini one ? Eg star light bn?

It is very obvious that my plants start to turn colour when I dun dose liquid fertilizer for a week. I notice these especially when I came back from holiday. I wonder if my substrate is not good enough?

Maybe start by figuring out what caused the color change and whether which of the fert is required.
Or maybe reduce the ferts to see if it's any better?

I think the article you posted mention to scrub it away after the gda becomes a thick layer. I normally prefer to find out why I have that algae before fixing it. Hence I asked if you are dosing co2, since you are dosing npk.
