Nice Setup! i have the same problems with snail crawling out of tank too ... i guess we have to bear with it since we are using ADA soil. The good thing is, the tank is Free from Algae with the precense of this snail.

    Hi Nevada84,

Ya, I hope algae stay away from me... 😊 but start getting some little hair algae, but brown algae are gone, thanks to the hardworking snails.

Btw the balance 4 snails never dare to crawl out of the tank after witnessing their bro KIA after falling... 😁😁

somehow feel that the left rock is a bit distacting.. maybe let it lean a little to the right towards the big rock might look better?

Oh isit.. You are second to say that... 😓😓😓 I thought of adding some smaller stone the to left would help but don't seem not since you still say distracting... Can't move the rocks now as plants are growing well. Maybe I should plant some long hair grass to distract the rock itself...

just tilt the rock somemore? no need to reposition but let it sleep a bit more?
not sure if removing the rocks at the sand area helps?

I have an extra eheim 2232 external canister filter, unused at the moment. Thought of putting it to the right-back of the tank with a small inlet/outlet glass pipe to assist the main filter but mainly is to created more water flow as the back hair grass seem to be some debris stucked and tank also start to get some hair algae (around the rock, and HC) Or it is normal for a cycling tank to get hair algae?

That'll be a good idea... i did notice that your outflow is a jet style design and positioned closer to the front of the tank, so i guess the back part of the tank would probably get less circulation and flow, so another filter outflow positioned at the back area will definitely help alot.

Re: Scaping an Iwagumi - 3ft.

Ok, thanks urban for giving me the final booster.. Decided to start the second filter so chop chop rush down to get the necessary items.

Got myself a Gush gNano 13 inlet and oPollen Mini 13 outlet as well as new filter medium, this time trying the seachem pond matrix and Mr.Aqua biological ring instead of the eheim substance pro and ceramic ring.

Both Gush are kind of miniature pipe that I think it fit perfectly on my tank that I hardly spot them on the tank front view.

Since I am starting a new filter medium, does it means that my tank cycle process will lengthen as the filter need to build new bacteria?

My rocks are getting some green algae which I think it good but will it spread to the plants? Here are the photo...

Also can share what the best approach to remove those on the hair grass

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1398696153.638235.jpg

Finally, love the way the HC are growing, they seems healthy and it my first time getting success.. Was it due to Tropica 1-2-grow? 😅😅😅

    Thanks/RC

I had tried curve them (hair algae) up, ok? Must trim the HC leaves too? The HC is still young.. 😩

11th day considered that the HC is growing pretty fast. What Fertilization did you use for the tank? Nice progress Bro ...

Textbook seachem week dosing, I wrote them earlier. You can refer if it helps. Cheers!
