Some bro shared this in his posting "As for the location for rock distributor, the place is opposite Qian Hu. You will see the number 40/50 at the entrance." According to him, they sell rocks pretty cheap.

The rock distributor at 40 Jalan Lekar mainly stock a variety of rocks for outdoor landscaping, i was there a while back too. I did notice one type of rock which is suitable for aquascaping, the bluish-grey type with white veins. Most of the rocks are huge though, you have to smash them into smaller pieces to fit into aquariums.

Which reminds me, i actually took a bunch of photos of the place and what they have (forgot i got photos)... will post up a review on them soon.

You're right, the price there is so attractive that its not about how much to pay anymore... its about how much rocks you can carry home.

I saw the normal lava rocks lfs use for tying plants. Not sure about black lava rocks

Try checking at the other outdoor landscape supply companies, there are many others in that area... i didn't check them specifically for rocks, but i did remember walking past piles of assorted rocks at those places.

Other places to check can be at the plant nursery/gardening stores at Thomson Road, most of them have assorted rock selections. There is also a place at Joan Road called The Nature Co., they stock interesting landscaping rocks too (if you visit them, check out their giant display paludarium).

Today just tried a few landscaping place in that area. All the ah nehs got no idea what kind of rocks I'm looking for. They showed me the concrete ones
