Some bro shared this in his posting "As for the location for rock distributor, the place is opposite Qian Hu. You will see the number 40/50 at the entrance." According to him, they sell rocks pretty cheap.

Any Bro has been to this place mentioned by Mookie? Any feedbacks?
I know fishy business has lots of dragon stones
Thanks Bro. Is Dragon Rock neutral? Will it affect water parameters?
Well I heard it is but I'm not 100% sure.
The place Mookie said do not have dragon stones. At least not when I visited few weeks ago.
Thanks for feedback. Almost wanted to go liao..
The rock distributor at 40 Jalan Lekar mainly stock a variety of rocks for outdoor landscaping, i was there a while back too. I did notice one type of rock which is suitable for aquascaping, the bluish-grey type with white veins. Most of the rocks are huge though, you have to smash them into smaller pieces to fit into aquariums.
Which reminds me, i actually took a bunch of photos of the place and what they have (forgot i got photos)... will post up a review on them soon.
Thanks dude 😄
Give it a try, the price of the bluish rock will entice you to change rock type![]()
Haha and how much your mosquito pain threshold you can take while choosing too![]()
How about black lava rocks?
Need to spray "OFF" if going there... hahaha..
The mozzies are commando trained. They penetrates everything and can take all rough conditions for battle![]()
I saw the normal lava rocks lfs use for tying plants. Not sure about black lava rocks
Hahaha.. then need to wear long four to choose rocks liao..
Anyone have any other place to recommend? There got to be more than 1 rock supplier in sg
Try checking at the other outdoor landscape supply companies, there are many others in that area... i didn't check them specifically for rocks, but i did remember walking past piles of assorted rocks at those places.
Other places to check can be at the plant nursery/gardening stores at Thomson Road, most of them have assorted rock selections. There is also a place at Joan Road called The Nature Co., they stock interesting landscaping rocks too (if you visit them, check out their giant display paludarium).![]()
