Anyone knows where to get this fish. I bought it about a year back but sadly it jumped out and died. Very nice, stayed with me about 3 months.

    Interesting fish.

What does it feed on? Does it goes well in a planted tank?

They able to survive with normal dry foods? Notice that their mouth are small could be a problem.

Ah...I got a few as well...bigger ones - $2. There were very small ones as well - babies - $1.
Same question as well...not sure what it eats...haven really seen it eating... I think its a kind fish belonging to the seahorse family...not sure where I saw it being called 'straight seahorse'. However, 1 thing for sure...they are very delicate...feeding them requires care as they are quite slow in getting their food as well...all snatch up by the rest of the fishes...

they are extremely lovely fish to get!! Wonderful things to be in the tank. They hunt by means of camoflouge and sudden strikes. Fed it baby apistos before. it just simply went near and gobbled it up. It ignored frozen bloodworm as far as i remember but small things like daphnia works well yah.

    In that case,

If I have it in a planted tank, will it hunt for food by itself coz I don't feed my fishes in the tank.

If you don't feed, there's nothing to worry about. At the end of the day, there isn't any fish left for you to feed
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,

It's not until that bad. The mouth is so small, the only thing that will disappear is anything smaller than a guppy fry.
