Wong... the fish would be very indignant if it comes to know the nickname you have coined for it.. The LFS uncle said it has a Chinese name, which I have forgotten, referring to "Fairy".

Very interesting fish, would like to know to. Especially on how big it would get.

I think this fish is not interesting at all. If one goes for such things, one might as well go for glass fish, which is more chee gek, as their skeletons and organs inside the body can be seen clearly.

I concur. Possibly a very washed out, stressed specimen. Just guessed though.

Yeah, looks like a rather stressed Iriatherina Werneri... or it could just be a light colored variant.

Yes. This is Iriatherina Werneri aka featherfin rainbowfish. I keep them too. The males re very aggressive and looks very nice when they show off their fins.

    Re: Fish ID

Thanks to all for helping to unravel the mystery! Indeed, I didn't see this as an eye-catching fish when I saw it at the shop. But it made me curious and as I was pondering to decide if this was a nice fish, I finally decided to get a couple of them first and see how they fit in my tank. As my tank is scaped like an Iwagumi, these fish do not clash with my scape. It is interesting to see the both of them lingering around the plants, as they are not expected to be sighted among my Glowlight and Pristella tetras. Here's sharing a few more pics.
