How adorable. What was the container? What are the plants. Is this by a south window?

My humble planted tank for testing purposes

    sample tank 1.jpg

Ignore the CO2 as i just put it for testing like 2 weeks. Not much difference so I remove it and standby for my rockscape tank later on

Within the next 1 month i'll be changing my poor 2 footer (which i lie down to take FTS too)
It will be a walstad method type tank, top coat lapis, driftwood with some crypts/moss.
Still pondering exactly how to do it... already have substrate so inevitable.

Is it "yabby" or "yappy"? I believe there's a larger one (for human consumption) named "yabby"?

the wc is scary because im afraid ill disturb the substrate or induce too much change for the shrimps to handle hahah. 1 litre change is >20% of the total volume of water. the substrate and everything else also take up space. so i think im only playing with liek 3+ litre of water?

the grey pebbles are from polyart at clementi. one big bag is $6 if im not wrong. enough to cover 2ft . not tall thou. just nice to cover. its mixed with some ada i have left over.

    Update on my tank.. hehe

Hauled the soil and changed it to sudo bottom sand, removed the stem plants. Now left all hard to kill plants only.. Upped the filter to 2x GEX HOF "S". Lighting still capped at T5 8watts.

One thing that i hated about this tank is the bolbitis, not growing but not dying either.. weird.

Can I ask , why use 2 hof instead of a bigger one ? Better flowrate ? Or just because you had 2 ?

I added sudo sand from bro diazman to my lobster tank ! Looks good !
