Your front seems like you ran out of substrate or it is intended to keep Algae ball rolling all around?
Right side looks good. Love the color of the reddish plants with DW backing it up. Try Balancing the other side when doing trims.

The intention was for the front to thin so that the middle & back are easy to view. Also the barren front landscape was to ease water change (pour down front) & putting of drift wood.
May not trim the right so soon, cos the right plant took quite a while to grow in this non- carbon dioxide infused tank & the shrimps are loving those plants.
I hope the brown & red plants maintain the colours though
Yes, the duckweeds are nice, thinking of adding those like duckweed but long roots type - 'frog bit'? Do you know where to get those in Sg ?
Any suggestion on use of the driftwood ?

Frog bits can easily obtain from forumners here.IMO red plants just dose iron they can maintain the redness

Thinking of checking out the Yishun area aquarium later. Should I head towards the 2 near Khatib or the one to the east of Yishun central?

What kind of disease is it when the fish body turn colour across the length of body? Like half a frozen fish in terms of colour

hiaz, this diseases is decimating my fishes!![]()

The disease starts as a small part, then spreads rapidly. Within 1 day, the fish would die. please advise

May be Neon Tetra Disease (NTD) found this site with pictures and symptoms. http://badmanstropicalfish.com/fish_...ification.html
Read on other sites that there's no cure for this, got to pick out the infected fish. I can be wrong and other more experienced bros here might be able to help.

Best quarantine the sick fish asap. You can try putting in a tank with a heater and see how it goes. As bro xxx mentioned, highly possible is NTD.

HI,
thanks for the information sharing. what is the typical cure rate say for velvet?
I think my tank is heading towards near total death despite clean water and seemingly lively fishes, but fishes are dying one after another.
The range of symptoms of diseases seen in the same tank ranges from NTD, velvet to dropsy. All in, I believe its over-population.
also, I have been using the kitchen scouring pad similar to http://www.canstockphoto.com/images-...php?id=5249289. Not sure if this is toxic but did notice small flakes of green bits after used...

Got any info on your ammonia, nitrate levels?
Advice from boss Felix

don't have. I didn't and don't intend to invest in the test kits...
But I bought the ceramic rings and left them in the overhead filter box to take care of the nitrate and nitrites problem.
Intend to get a bag of activated carbon to take care of the fishy smell and other problems.
I have used Rid-All Copper Aid (it can cure some range of diseases as stated) before and a caution is if you have shrimps or snails in your tank, do remove them first before introducing the solution.
Try to reduce your bioload by getting a more powerful filter? Or another tank, if you have the space?or do more frequent WC.
Use of the filter wool might be a better choice to the kitchen scouring pad.

Hi, this is call neon tetra disease. Pls do a 50% water change. Buy magic leaf, clean your filter. This happen because water quality is no good. Did you do any landscape change? Even if u use eheim filter you still need to do 10% water change and clean your filter monthly.
Confirmed. It is neon tetra disease. Cannot do much. Wait for all to die because it is difficult to treat fishes in planted tanks
