The title of this includes non-Co2. But you are injecting Co2. Thus your post doesn't belong in this tread. In planted tank forum this may be considered low tech.

For you interest last one is present (CO2 added). Worse photo quality is caused by no camera stand and the look is not final. I'm planning to put some e.tenellus inside the lawn of hair grass to make it 'more intereting'. Right front part is still not planted. There are some leaves of glosso.
how do you make hairgrass carpet into such a beautiful lawn if you are low tech?!
thanks cus im high tech but my hairgrass doesnt carpet...

Next tank I am setting up with Hydroponics potting mix and Scott's top soil. I get them at Home Depot or Wal-mart. Then topping it Black Diamond blasting sand.

Singapore doesn't have Walmart so what people do is use 1inch of Horti Soil and top with 1inch of gravel.

You can get cocopeat from daiso at $2, but just wondering why you made that choice? I am going to start a walstad tank too but I don't know what soil to use!

hmm, i read from some thread that cocopeat won't be so messy as compare to other soil although it lacks of some nutrient that is why i add the fertilizer sticks. one of the moderator (retired) i think, have used them on all of his tank and the result was fantastic so decided to go with it.

Thanks hilde i have the following plant in my bowl Stuarogyne Tropica , hair grass, stargrass, rotala sp red, lileopolis, UG and for mosses in my driftwood it is willow moss, xmas moss and somehere some flame moss lol. Too many plants for a bowl . still waiting for it to grow. Just added UG , Stuarogyne Tropica and stargrass a week ago. For light when i started i was using a 7w ikea lamp. And just recently got philips 12w topedo with 6500 K. Should have got this bulb when i started.

also no co2 or filter. will be keeping some shrimps when i have a bit nmore money to spare but wanted the plant to grow fully.
