    Folks,

i saw saw mustafa is selling this type of circulator fans using direct current instead of USB.

Best of all, is cheaper and bigger. How powerful I'm not sure as I did not Test it.

Not it sure if you guys are using this and is it better than those fan sold at fls?

    Re: Fan Question.

This is definitely better in terms of RPM but this is operated using motor in which will also contribute to heat, while computer fans is using magnetic. And the heat is blown onto the surface of your tank water. I would use this to blow across the surface in long tanks.

I guess you meant AC powered (not DC powered)?

These type of fans can also be used as they basically do the same job... but if the fan is running on 220-240V AC power, make sure its attached securely and don't accidentally drop into the tank and electrocute everything (especially during maintenance when your hands are also inside the tank water too!).

    Re: Fan Question.

Those fans are for high voltage AC, and the casing is of metal.
It's better to avoid these as they are too dangerous near a fish tank, otherwise it can be very jialat if kena electrocuted.

    Re: Fan Question.

fans cool water based on ambient temperature/evaporation if not mistaken.

AC powered fans are likely better in airflow, but also bring in higher power usage.
Biggest problem is that if your not the DIY type of guy, mounting it will create greater chances of accident.

There's some bros using ones which come with a clip on attachment, i think is SONA or AEROGAZ. Maybe better for some.
