bro thanks for sharing! just curious.. with 2 fan on in your 2ft, what's the temperature roughtly? i'm also in the mist of setting up my CRS tank so just gathering some information.![]()
I have just returned to this shrimping hobby (previously on Sulawesi, not a good experience), now on CRS.
Recently, I started out on a 1ft tank. But after few months, I felt the tank is too small and evaporates too fast because I am running a fan 24/7.
My parameters and crs suffered, obviously.
Since I have my 2 ft tank lying around, I thought I'll set it up again.
I'm running 2 fans, temperature between 25.7 to 27. The evaporation is not as bad, though 2 fans, as compared to 1ft tank with 1 fan....
After I shifted my CRS there, they seemed happier as they are always roaming around, unlike in the previous 1ft tank, they were always hiding under the caves, and not really moving around alot.
I've had 2 berried ones from the previous 1 ft tank, and I think 1 of it just gave birth or going too, hopefully, the babies will survive.
I really believe, bigger tanks are so much more stable for crs, especially without chiller, I regretted not starting earlier...
Just to share my experience and pictures. Cheers.

My temp on colder days is 25.5 and 27.2 on warmer days.
The location is also important I think.
What's some of the condition to consider for location?
If going for crs, try putting somewhere near windows or door, but at the same time doesn't get direct sunlight. Because the heat on hot and hunid days can be disastrous even with fan.
This I personally experienced before. I put it directly under my living room windows, but the windows are closed. Even so, on hot days it gets really bad.
