Theyneed 80 degree waterand plenty of places to hid
Hi all, I'm fairly new to this forum so please do bear with me.
I recently bought a ~1" L183 fry from C328 recently, and realised I made a huge mistake as he doesn't fit well with my other fishes. (They try to eat him since he's too small.)
Anyway I moved him to a rather small tank temporarily with some bogwood as cover and I'm trying to feed him hikari algae wafers together with lettuce and cucumber. He seems to be unresponsive so far to all of these methods. Ammonia and pH levels are low, <0.5 and ~6.5 respectively. I'd like to ask what is the best setup, with regards to tank size, plantation, water parameters etc to rear him to a larger size, and how long will he take to grow to about 2-3" so that I can move him back into the main tank.
Also my main tank is a goldfish tank, and I'd like to know if they are even compatible at all. I'm aware ancistrus species are some of the more compatible companions for a goldfish tank but I wonder if L183's are exceptions to this rule.
Thanks all.
