Though now Aquarist Chamber is selling this particular mini TEC chiller model too, so if you factor in the 3rd-party shipping costs and all, might be better to just get it locally from AC instead, at least you can check that it works properly before buying.![]()

Yes, it makes sense to get it locally.

Absolutely guys, just take a look at their new pricing with and without warranty in the merchant's corner and you'll see why it's better to just get from them.

Hi guys,
Can this filter be connected to a Eheim AquaCompact instead of a traditional water pump? I would guess that anything below 35L will be suitable for this chiller right?

Chiller basically has water In-flow and Out-flow through which, water gets chilled when it pass thr the cold plate/pipe. Different sizes and manufacturers offer different specifications. best is to check the spec.
Mft spec usually are done/provided in 'ideal' conditions, best is discount the max water capacity / volume by at least 20-30%.
The water in the external filter / pipes are to be added in as well. In fact, aquarium tank thickness, filter box, piping etc are all be chilled / temp maintained by the chiller. Hope this explains...

1/20 HP would be more than sufficient for 1 ft tank, guess you are making provision for use of bigger tank in future and space are available. Do check the size of water pipe - 8mm or 12mm pipe, and lighting/wire etc may take up a fair bit of spare in yr 30cm tank
Nano TEC chiller which has small footprint might do the work, but they are not widely available in sg.
