Mini fissden. Nice.
I think I will be sticking with moss as I have a low tech tank. So which moss do you guys think will be suitable to make tree??? I really don't know which moss to chose and I will be adding flourish excel weekly.
Anyone can help ?????
As mentioned above,
Taiwan moss
Spiky moss
Christmas moss (may be a bit of a challenge)
You can experiment with the first 2 moss as have they no problem with excel based low tech tanks. To be honest, any of the above mention moss works, you would just need to trim when the time comes to maintain it into the "tree" shape that you desire.
Just in case you are about taiwan moss tree, there's a video of it on youtube..

Depends on what kind of tree you'd like. Flame moss makes the tree look as though its on flames while spiky moss makes the tree look like the leaves are branching out horizontally. I believe its also possible to make the tree look bushy using spiky moss. Experts please feel free to correct me as I'm still learning![]()
Which want do you think is better Taiwan moss or Christmas moss ?? I don't really like the spiky moss
Christmas looks better overall but they may have a hard time growing if the temperature is not cool enough. I did try to grow them on lava rocks before and it took approximately 2 months or so for them to flourish under a low tech setup with a fan cooling the tank for 24/7.
Would be helpful if you could list down the equipment you will be using.

Ok thanks. Seems like I'm going for Christmas moss then.
