Just squeeze the sponge and rinse the bio-media in used tank water or de-chlorinated water every few weeks (or when you notice the flow start to decrease).
Hi everyone,
Just picked up this hobby about 2 months ago.
My 1ft tank has been cycled and now the fire reds are in nearing a week. Currently using a fan to cool the water (will get a chiller in the near future).
May I ask the laojiaos here, apart from the weekly water change, what are the routines for washing of the HOB filter and sponge?
