Erm I haven't had much success with the plant in my low tech tanks but fertilizing stopped the browning for me. If you let them continue browning they won't last.

It might be Echinodorus tennelus emerge form, not so sure unless see the root system. Just wait until it grow the submerge leaf to confirm.

@Shadow: They were placed submerged in Y618 , does that mean that they are already submerged?
