    Hi Tom,

Yes. The tank is on very high light. Plant growth is so fast that I can't catch up triming them

I think I'll lower down the KH. Perhaps that will help.

    CO2 is at 45 - 50ppm. Not high enough???

Do you think I should increase NO3 dosage?

    New tank?
    No filter?
    Feed the fish too much?
Disturbed the substrate a lot and then did not do a water change soon after?

Once GW gets in there, it can tough to get rid of completely.
UV, Diatom filter, micron certiage, hagen quik filter Daphnia etc can all get rid of it.

After a few days of treatment, it will generally not come back again.

    Then you can dose.
Increase the KNO3 if you are light.

GW is nothing to be too alarmed about.
Many ways to kill it, does not harm the plants, rfarekly occurs unless you louse something up fairly good(NH4 related).

I've never had it unless I did it on purpose(add NH4/too many fish etc)

    Tom Barr

    Hi All,

1 mth has passed and I am giving an update on this matter. I adjusted the coral chips' position and now maintaining it at around 4-5 KH. I notice dramatic improvement. There are lesser green dotted algae on the glass. The plants seems to grow well...

Anyway, I will be posting pictures of the tank soon. A great forum mate helped me with it.

    Later guys.
