Hello guys! just wanted to share my simple 1.5ft tank that I have set up recently..

    Specs

Filter: Shiruba XB-305 (super quiet canister filter)
    Soil: RAC active soil
Additives: LowKeys speed sand and MK breed blue diamond minerals.
    Bogwood with mixed moss.
    DIY computer Fan
    DIY ATO device

I think auto top off is essential for a 1.5ft tank as the water evaporation rate is very fast with a fan blowing directly on the surface..

    Thanks for viewing

How many CBS and rili blue in there? Although it look simple, but it's nice... Mine too heavily plant... Hard to see shrimp also... Lol.... My daily hobby is to spend hours infront of the tank counting my shrimp....

I believe with fan the temperature is around 25 to 26 degree... High CFM fan will cause more evaporation, and it will greatly reduce the temperature...

I do not have any rili.. all black king kong , panda , blue blots and wine red .. for me, I think the more simple it is, the nicer.. so can see the shrimps swimming around =)

And88 bro, are you comfortable to share how to build your ATO device. I believed a lot of people are interested in building one.

Haha ATO is auto top up. Since I cannot afford chiller. Fan cooled tank has high water evporation rate.

lol I got the resources from a friend at overseas.. the float device will detect the level of evaporation and auto top up the water using a water pump in a bucket of water. I will upload a photo later..

Hello bros.. so this is where the water came from.. I used a 15L container and a small pump head to which connected to the ATO devices and eventually started to kick off when it detects the evaporation of the water level.

Hi and88 bro. If it is not too much to ask. Is it possible to have a closeup of the floating trigger. Have you seen it locally? Any mad skill required to hook it up?

Re: My 1.5ft taiwan shrimp tank

wondering if it will be possible to tie a float to a limit switch to control the top up...
when the water level is high enough, then the limit switch will off the pump..
