Bio-pellets are used for tanks which has a high stocking density and is also feed frequently. It can help control Nitrate & Phosphate in an aquarium system.

NATURE
In essence, bio sphere are a food source for Nitrate & Phosphate absorbing bacteria which helps the bacteria to multiply.

RECOMMENDED
It's better to use Bio pellets in a Bio Pellets Reactor that designed special for it, we suggest using Reef Octopus Bio-Pellets Reactors or Bio- Churn, which have been designed for an even flow of oxygenated water through the spheres.

If oxygen levels are too low then this will result in the bacteria dying off within the reactor it will be more effective to put the outlet of the Reactor near a Protein Skimmer.

The perfect amount, we suggest, is 150g Reef Octopus Bio-pellets for 1000L water. For it's the food of bacteria, please remember to add some more like 10-20g after 3 or 5 months.
