    dear all,

I have introduced 50 tiger and 50 bumble bee into my 3ft x 18ft x 18ft planted tank one week ago but I have almost 1 to 2 dead body to remove.

I do not have any problems with 50 cardinal and 4 SAE.

    Please advise.

How did you introduce them? Did you just put them in, or float the bag in the water for a hour ( the way you do with fish ) ?

Maybe you could provide the bros here your tank parameters too...

The question of shrimps dying (even with patient acclimatisation) is still a.... big question.... But in this thread in the killies.com forum, it is suggested that osmotic shock (coupled with ammonia shock) is likely to be the real culprit.

Anyway, for myself, I found that in my main tank where I add generous doses of Equilibrium, yamatoes are happy, and the Singapore (filter-feeding) shrimp I added recently are also fine. Whereas, another tank where I don't dose anything but top-up water, shrimps never survive.

    Re:

just to check, what do u mean by "add generous doses of Equilibrium". I am now having this problem of malayan shrimps dying every 4-5 days.

Low oxygen level due to poor plant growth coupled with no surface agitation is common shrimp killer other than ammonia. Focus on the plants and grow them well..things should be fine for the critters.
