2Ft Zen tank

I used some leftover MM (from Juggler) to create this 2ft tank. Placed the MM around some rocks to create a Zen feel. I am still considering whether to use just MM or mix some Riccia for the foreground. I placed some Riccia in wire meshes to see how it will look like.
The tank is about 2 weeks old now but the Riccia was placed only 1 week ago.
Comments on how to improve the tank are welcome!

It is very nice. Where to find those rocks you used? From construction sites?

The Riccia mesh should be placed closer together to get a better effect when they are full grown. Or you can use Glosso instead of Riccia.

How did you plant the HM or MM in your case? 1 cm apart? How did it get so dense from the looks of the picture?

with sufficient light and Co2, HM will form thick clumps easily.

Personally, I feel that the structure of the tank in terms of rock positioning and general concept is there. However, I find that the colours of riccia and HM is too close and the contrast may be evident to creat an impact.

maybe, can plant some hairgrass round the rocks to introduce a different shade of green while maintaing the Zen concept. Also, riccia may not be feasible in the longer term. The rocks also look a tat too angular, but it's ok, I am just being picky.

Overall, a very nice tank that will stand out with a little twinking.

I just planted the MM closely together. At first, it doesn't look dense. But just leave it for a while and it will form a nice clump with strong lights.
I'm getting rid of the Riccia. It's too troublesome for me to maintain, with me being in camp almost everyday. Going to fill it with MM this Sunday and leave it for a while to see how it looks.

Just tore down the tank. No choice. Too busy with the 5 ft.
Maybe I will try the concept with a 1 ft tank later.

Planting so much MM in a 5 ft will give me no time to do anything else. And then there's the trimming after that! Haha.

I'm trying out another Zen tank with Java Ferns and Japonica. Can't seem to find Aubertil nowadays...
