    Anyone tried these wood? what exactly does it do? if its just decoration then that's some extremely expensive decoration

    It looks like cholla wood... some members were selling them in the forum a while back. I had one piece in my shrimp tank before too.

    Its a nice wood for fishes and shrimps to hide and forage in, other than that i didn't notice anything else special about it.

    It's cholla woods which are pretty cheap in USA. The wood is soft. When you boil it produce a nice smell which shrimps like to graze on it when first put in the tank. After a while they ignored the woods and I noticed my shrimps activity slowing down with the wood inside my tank. So I took the woods out since.
