ADA africana soil PH?

can someone help mi wif this?? wats the ph of africana soil compare to amazonia soil? and do co2 fluctuate the kh when ur tank is lack of co2?
coz i am having a kh of 7 when using this ADA soil

In fact, both are equal regardless of Africana or Amazonia. The more aquasoil used in your aquarium the lower the PH level that my personal experience. Due to thick layer of aquasoil (Africana) its purge down to PH 5.4 currently keeping Paro and Boraras

thx for the info ... but wats ur kh ? coz due to my high kh my tonina aint surviving.... they r starting to melt for the 3rd time...

After a month or two the pH of most every aquatic soil will go towards neutral.

that is what i thought too but i have 4 tanks that have the same ADA soil in it for 6 months,and even with weekly water changes....the ph is still rather low.

meaning PH 4.8

Might be something other than the soil.
Large water changes will help. Some more buffering, GH/KH can be added etc.

I add my own mix to Onyx or Flourite, this way I make my own concotion with know materials.

I'll add either peat or leonardite.

Amano adds peat to the soils, not sure what form is it etc or if they add leonardite.

In any event, how much you add, frequency of water changes and many other things can influence the pH.
