    Hi,

I have started keeping some normal grade CRS months back and these shrimps started breeding and and growing in numbers, slowly but surely. I have been careful with the plants I introduced to the tank, however not careful enough. I started seeing one or two pond snails about a month ago and been picking them daily ever since. I have seen batches of snails eggs and tried my best to remove those that are visible, but I noticed there are more and more tiny snails these days, it seems like I'm fighting a losing battle... I have some Fenbendazole leftover from nuking worms about a year ago and read online that it kills pond snails too, with mixed results.

I'm wondering if anyone used it in their shrimp tank before and what was the outcome?

Best is not to use any kind of chemicals in your shrimp tank....

You can try adding assassins snails into your tank. One added benefits of them is that if you have any dead shrimps, they will help to "suck" the shrimp flesh, leaving the shell as calcium for your other shrimps. No rotting meat in your tank!

I know assassin snails might attack weak dying shrimps that can't move but I've nv see one attacking healthy shrimps that just moulted. Shrimps are just too fast.

I think your tank must be densely populated with shrimps, they don't have time to swim away hahah.
