Got some of the above for about a week now. Need advice about the propagation. Can it be done? Can I split the bunch up hoping that the roots will grow side roots and thus new stalks? Need advice.

They send out shoots that are 3 to 4 inches long, then a bunch of them will rise of that point. I planted individual blades about 2 cm apart, each blade melted at first, recovered strongly and evenly becomes a bush of 3 to 5 blades.
My tank that has it has 5 watt / gallon (MH) with CO2 injection.... takes 2 weeks to form a mini-forest...

When planting, don't insert deeply. Those in my tank that sent out runners soonest were those that accidentally got pulled out from the gravel, exposing the start of the roots.
There will be some leaves dying back initially after planting. Be patient and if you don't disturb the plant, it will grow to become a weed, covering almost everything else that you planted and smothering the slow growing plants.
