i have three discus, one which has been with me for a few months and two which i bought 5 days ago. after three of my discus died two days ago(i had six two days ago, including the two new ones), the remaining ones have been hiding in a corner and refusing to come out.

    also, they don't eat.

worse still, i have noticed the smallest discus' fins are clamped, its colour is dark and there seems to be some white skin on its body. i'm pretty sure it isn't white spot, but i'm wondering if its dangerous.

now my discus appear sickly and don't eat.

    what should i do??

really in a fix right now.
    would GREATLY APPRECIATE HELP.

    more info

    hi...
need you to tell us more about the tank and what did u do to the tank before/after the introduction of the new fishes....

i would suggest you check pH...
or it could be the introduction of the new fish that caused this. my guess is you didnt' guarantine ..... try not to stress the fishes now....

cheers.. hope the condition improves soon.

No, he had a earlier problem, where the fishes had a lack of oxygen. My guess is the fishes are still recovering from the oxygen lack.

should i aerate the water at night?

it would be good for the fish..but i heard that it will cause major algae growth!

aerating the tank wont solve the problem of ur stressed fishes. get things right in ur tank. test the water parameters. get the pH and no2, no3 all right first.
