    Dear fellow forumers,
I have some issues to get the timer to work on my ANS Solenoid and I would like to seek for your advice.
I just bought an ANS solenoid and regulator and connect it to a timer. I realized that every time the timer turns it on, there will be a click sound from the solenoid and the solenoid will just shut down by itself. It is strange that, if I connect the solenoid directly to the power socket, it works perfectly. However, it doesn't work when I connect through the timer. Nothing wrong with my timer as it works on my lighting and air pump.

I'm totally clueless now as I will be travelling for 2 weeks and I need to get it work before I leave. Otherwise, my plants have to live w/o CO2 in the next 2 weeks

Btw, this is the cheap cheap timer I get from Qoo10. Do I need to get any special timer for CO2 solenoid? It is because this timer works on my lighting and pump so I guess it should be working with any devices right?

Really hope to hear from you guys soon. Have a great World Cup weekend.

If the digital timer works well with your lights and pump, then its probably just a loose connection issue with your Co2 solenoid plug, sometimes if the socket connections are not fully in contact, the solenoid plug doesn't get a consistent flow of electricity, hence it doesn't activate properly.

Try using another adaptor to plug in between the digital timer and solenoid plug, see if it makes the connection more secure.

The other alternative is to just get another digital timer, i use the Soundtech brand ones (commonly sold at most local hardware stores), and they work perfectly with my ANS Co2 solenoid units.

    Hi bro Urban,
    you're my savior.
It seems that the 2-pin of the solenoid doesn't fit in tightly into the timer, and result in intermittent current flow. As suggested by you, I connect a good quality multi-plug to the timer, and fit my solenoid into this multi-plug. And surprisingly, it works ....

    Thanks a millions.
