Anybody used this product at home? It's a mist spraying insect repellent that sprays every 15 mins.

my wife shifted it to the living room where my tank is located last night. Just about 5m away.

This morning I've 4 CRS flipped but still alive, one swimming frantically around and the rest are not as active as yesterday. It's my prime suspect. uploadfromtaptalk1404007850649.jpg

Yes, most pesticides or insect repellents will cause that reaction in shrimps, the effect is very fast. The aerosol chemicals disperse in the air and come in contact with the tank water, then dissolve in it.

If you can smell the repellent where the tank is, most likely the chemicals would also have reached and dissolved in the tank.

Cease the use of the repellent, then do a series of water changes to gradually remove the toxic chemicals, hopefully the shrimps can last through the effects and recover in time.

Yes it's most likely due to the insecticide. I have experienced it myself. Worst it's not due to my own spraying but my neighbour's. That's one thing bad about setting up a tank in the balcony. Have since gotten a cover for the tank.
