Sharing alittle glass equipment bought at GC. This item is meant for live feed such astubifex but I find it works very well for others such as frozen daphnia, micropellets, granulates or crushed flakes.
PreviouslyI would put feed directly into tank but most get carried away by the surface aeration.Baby brine shrimps and most food would fly all over the tank and the poorfishes chasing madly. By using this, the food stays inside, sinks slowly and graduallyfalls through the strips of opening below. It works fantastic for frozen food asit melts down inside and slowly releases the food, as opposed to sinkingimmediately to the bottom of the tank. Hurray!!
After 2days of feeding, my fishes are already smart enough to hover around the glassanticipating the goodies like falling snow. It is so interesting now to seethem mass together.
There is aminor flaw though, some food remains inside so I got to use a plastic toothpickto stir it a little. But eventually all food will pass out. There was once Idid not wait to stir and I found my ever gangster yamato shrimp digging at theopening from under. Thanks for the help yama.
This clip Iuse a bit of micro granulates as today is dry food day. Hope it is viewable.
