    Hi bro.
Those are altum angels I suppose.
I don't want to be a wet blanket but please please read up and check online.
They are wild caught and need to be acclimatized and dewormed before there are released to the main tanks.
Usually a quarantine tank with very low pH and established filtration together with deworming medication is used to house the fishes for 4-6weeks.
Just letting you know cause don't want you to waste money.

Ken, thanks for your concern. Had tried this method ever since i first encountered altum and that was without knowing the know-how of altum. some casualties of course and learn the hard way. This time i have prepared better and so all 29 still active and feeding well. Can't seem to count the 30th and no dead body found! hopefully i mis -count them.

Now its time for the main tank again.

    20140614_010747.jpg

Pour in the first 2 packet and lay down a thin layer of base. The first i have tried ADA Special but don't like the white stones after the mineral used up so giving it a miss.

added in ADA Bacter 100, Clear Super, Tourmaline BC, Penac P and Penac W before covering up the whole tank with the rest of amazonia soil.

Place my 'lady doing leg rise' into my tank. Boy it took quite sometime squeezing them in trying many ways and angles!

Nice description. Haha. Keep up the updates. It may be the most tiring and irritating process but at the end, its also always the most rewarding as you sit and reminisce of the effort placed in making it while looking at your beautiful final scape =)

Hi, this is impressive, a bit overkill on the chiller I must say. Those are low maintenance plants and can get by just on fans. More ever your altums would prefer warmer water.

Anyway fantastic job, it requires a lot of effort for big tanks.

Final product after D-Day, X-Timing. took a super nap of an hour plus and continue the rest of the day with other event. Didnt manage to take photo during landscaping time! thinking back, felt a bit wasted for not capturing that moment!

    Re: My5225

@solidbrik, i think i mentioned before. Getting those plant from the east side

After cycling for two week, Thats the longest i can tahan for not buying any fishes. Added in sera pleat to bring down the PH. Using the PH controller with CO2 is really not practical at this stage. i went for the first CO2 top-up after three weeks! Thats 5 liters! Thus use it to monitor and a timer for my CO2.

    Re: My5225

Sorry for the late reply bros, was busy with work recently.

@fireblade, I was shock too at the rate the co2 is being used. Remember it was used to control the PH of my tank during cycling, It was turn on most of the time as i set it around 5.5. Sera pleat was introduced at a later stage (end of 2nd week). Now i only use the controller as a monitoring tools and control co2 via timer!!!

Anyway, attached photos are fishes i bought after 1 week!

    20140705_211446.jpg 20140705_211509.jpg

Oh no! i cant attach anymore photos as i have exceed the limit! what options i have to continue?

I believe there is a limit to the total space for each user to upload photos. You might have to remove some photos before you can upload or Admin increase your space limit. Suggestion would be to post photo with smaller size and/or lower resolution so you have more photos.

Not sure how to delete photos. Someone else will have to advise.
