    Hello,

i have been keeping fish for many years and have switched from marine to freshwater about 10 yrs ago. I have a 125 gal South American cichlid aquarium at this time as well as 55 & 40 gallon tanks. I keep breeding Geophagus Redhead Tapajos, Uaru, Pearsei, and others. Current torn about the possibility of keeping an oscar as I read so many pros and cons. Pros being personality and cons being dirty or messy fish. Well that's all for now.

Dirty and messy fish are easily dealt with by water changes and a great filter aren't they? Welcome!

Thank you. Very true. Here in the USA stocking is very light vs the eastern countries so an Oscar is considered a solo fish in a 55 to 70 gallon tank. I want to add one to a 125 with 5 Geophagus redheads, 2 Uaru, 1 Pearsei, 1 severum, some silver dollars. Most here would say that is way overstocked...
