They are safe with adult and juvenile shrimps... but as with most small fishes, will snack on any tiny new-born shrimplets they find.

Ok will take note. Anyone sighted these green neon tetra in lfs recently?
Fishy Business has green neon tetras.
I have them in my tanks together with Shrimp. For shrimplets, as long as there are hiding spaces between rocks or plants, they should be fine from the tetras.
Thanks Chazrt. Will give Fishy Business a call to see if they still have it
My green neons had been living very peacefully with the shrimps and shrimplets survived!

Got mine from fishy business as well..swimming peacefully with my fire reds..though fire reds dun seem to be breeding..how to breed them ah? Lol
Shrimps tend to slow down on breeding when there are fishes, unless your tank is big, from what I have noticed.
And yes, I agree the adult and juveniles are quite safe with small and peaceful fishes, but the babies are not really that safe but may still have survivors with plenty of hiding space.
However, if your fishes spawns and lay eggs, they may be eaten by shrimps.
It's that cycle![]()
