    hi,

i just planted echinodorus tenellus in little shoots, 1 cm apart in my 4 feet tank yesterday. does anyone know how long it will take to start growing?

also, i just bought aponogeton ulvaceus today. are its leaves vulnerable to shrimp and SAEs or other fish? because i saw some tears in its leaves, and i don't think they were there earlier on. and how long will it take to start growing?

    would appreciate replies.
    thanks!

As far as i know, E tenull is a fast grower. it propagate by runners. About the time for it to grow, it really depends on the condition of your tank. For my case, i observe some changes after a few days, but the submerged leaves will decay and die off so don't be worry by it.

For me it took a few weeks, 3 to 4 if I'm not wrong. But that was without c02. With c02 and high light, tennellus should chiong their growth.

you will see new emerged leaves. Think will be a darker green and is tinted with red under good condition.
