Are you looking for 30cm length lights?

Because the Beamswork High Lumen 30 model fits 30cm tanks, whereas the Up Aqua Pro Z 30 model is designed to fit 60cm tanks... unless you are referring to the Pro Z 10 (which is the one for 30cm tanks).

    Re: Plant light Pricing enquiry

If i remember correctly both lights cost around S$40+, so they have relatively similar pricing.

    From what i've seen at LFS, they both use 0.5W LEDs, but the Hi-Lumen 30 uses a few more LEDs (21 x 0.5W 10,000k + 3 x actinic, can switch mode) compared to the Z-10 (16 x 0.5W 8,000k).

Aesthetics-wise, the Hi-Lumen 30 uses a wider black casing of 12+cm in width... while the Z-10 uses a slimmer silver casing around 7cm width.

I guess both lights would do well in 30cm planted tanks, just whether you want abit more light but larger casing, or abit less light but slimmer casing.

Is there any noticeable difference say 10k is better for plant growth compared to 8k?

Seems 10,000k LEDs are more commonly used for reef/coral tanks, but there are people who also use them for planted tanks too.

I guess if there are any differences in plant growth, its probably minimal... the main difference for most people would just be the color tint of the lights when they view their tank.

Best if you can find an LFS which has those particular lights being used on their aquascaped display tanks (places like East Ocean or SunPets), then you can compare the visual differences and see which one you prefer.
