It has been 2 years since I started this hobby, but this is the first time I tore down the whole tank, emptied everything and rescaped.
Moved all the livestocks to the small tank and covered with paper so the fish were not startled when I'm working on the tank.
Combination of a couple pieces of driftwood
Not much has changed since my I set this up 2 year ago, except added a chiller. Since this is a shoe cabinet, its pretty limited to what I can put below. The first time I hooked up the chiller to the Eheim canister, it killed the impeller. So I tried again using only a very short section (about 5cm) of the 9/12mm hose, then step-up to 12/16mm all the way to filter. It works smoothly after that.
Anyway, here's the Monte Carlo after just planted.

Nice setup. What's the grey box at the top right corner? Power head pump?

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! TIME TO LAY BACK AND RELAX!
A Journey Of A Thousand Miles Begins With A Single Step
The shrimplet might hide inside the power head pump during daytime, when power is on it might crush them. I don't provide aeration in planted tank, the current/plant itself is sufficient for it.

Really nice hardscape..!
Are you planning to add stem plants on the right and left corners at the back?
I understand the risk. Actually I also don't want to use powerhead cause it so ugly. But last time I tried not to use aeration, every morning before the light on, all my fish were breathing rapidly and struggling. No matter how much pearling, the oxygen would deplete after midnight. Since I also using lily pipe spin, there is hardly any flows.
So beside aeration, my powerhead also provides gentle flow & clears surface scum.
That is a POPPY pipe, not a Lily pipe, Lily pipe will create vortex and thus minor air will also suck in. There's also a smaller power head pump than your current one which you can modify with surface filter scum.

Yes sir, I know the difference between lily pipe and poppy pipe because I have them all. Check my WTS thread
ADA called this "Lily Pipe Spin"

Anyway which powerhead can you recommend? Mine is Dymax PH200 which I though is the smallest one.
Wow, the first thing that comes to my mind, how da heck did you get such clear sharp crisp pictures? Care to share what camera and lenses you use at what settings?

Nice scape. It has a certain wild jungle look, and i especially like the rasbora swimming amongst the wood with moss.
