Was out of the country for a week, so the tank got neglected for a while. Came home with Hydrocotyle covering the half the tank.
Algae also started to take over the glass and the driftwood. Will start dosing Excel on them soon.
Here is the latest progress during photo period. Not really a fan of 7-Up look of inline atomizer but it gets the job done.

nice scape.

Yeah, i use the ISTA reactors on all my tanks now. It will reduce the flow slightly but you could just get one to test and see if the flow is still okay (it costs less than S$20 anyways, so worth a try).
Your tank is 40cm so the overall flow might still be sufficient... or just swap the spin pipe to a regular lily pipe to revert back to improved flow.![]()

Why the sand in front? I think it looks a little out of place. I think the tank would look better if the MCs carpet all the way front.
By the way, great tank. The scape is interesting.
You mentioned that you tank is in a shoe cabinent? Anyway, can we have a look at full cupboard shot? I am very curious to see how the set up is.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I prefer a little combination of brighter color in front instead of fully green. I was inspired from most of the scapes in IAPLC. But who knows, I may change my mind later.
Anyway, my tank is not built into the shoe cabinet, it just sits on top of the cabinet.
I'm in office right now, here's the only pic of my shoe cabinet I can find. Just replace the flower vase with my tank, thats all![]()

That's a very nice cabinet and flooring haha!

I like the sandy front, my thought (never able to do a nice scape)is it may be more complete if you can create a small path into the depth of your forest.

Sorry for the spam! How are you holding back the soil from falling onto the sands? I'm planning to rescape my 2ft.

Terrific Shoe Cabinet design. Like the work on the lighting and flooring. Almost tempted to ask you for full home shot. LOL.
I feel your pain about 'spoiling' the original look. But I like this kind of projects: running the pipes into the shoe cabinet or integrating your tank as best as possible to the existing design.
Is yours an ADA tank?

LOL, Thanks!
Yeah, its quite challenging. Although I would prefer bigger tank but due to the design of the cabinet I dare not to take the risk.
No, its ANS Opticlear tank, way cheaper, but not sure about durability tho, from East Ocean. You can check their online store page.
I am actually in the midst of planning a new tank now.
Yup. Been to all the online stores already.
Its time to do physical recce soon. I am planning to go around this afternoon.
