Live Bloodworms safe for apistos?

R the live bloodworms sold in lfs safe for apistos?

Do we need to clean the b4 feeding to the fish? How?

How long can bloodworms be kept alive? How can we keep them alive for long?

Any methods to separate the live worms frm the dead white worms?

all live food carry parasite... so best to use treated frozen type.. or

if u insist of using live bloodworm, i suggest u wash clean.. wash under running water till the water is clear.. to keep them alive, u gotta change the water.. no way to remove the dead worms.. u might oso wanna soak with internal parasite medication in just case

Have new stocks arrived? Cant wait to get new apisto species.

My agassiz and cockatoos r gd frens. No hostilities. The first 2 days the cockatoo is a little hostile towards the new additions. After that, they dont bother each other anymore, sumtimes swim together too. The male aggie chases the female sometimes, but i think it's normal.

Do tell me when u goin down to see the new stocks pls!

yup the stock hasn't arrive maybe only maybe this sat. Andi told me that it was suppose to come yesterday or today but the flight was fully book no space so have to wait.

Regarding live worms, they are of cos better nutrition then to frozen one but one point to take note is the bacteria the live worms has, unless you know where it comes from and of cos you trust the fish shop guy.

tanks can be added when needed. More of collecting diff species of apistos. must have at least a pair though. mating is a bonus.[:0]

Spawning is easy depending on species. It's best to run the tank first before adding the fish =)

An idea is a 2ft tank with abit of gravel on the gound with many rocks and driftwood and of cos a sponge filter.

i suppose it's best to keep the water in good condition if not you are going to change water every 3days or so
