do improve the water flow rate. crs and rcs do well without overdose excel (read the bottle label).
bba will not disappear over a short period.

the current nutrient + light + co2 in your tank actually encourage bba and other algae to grow more than plant grow.

instead i actually suggest you to reduce your light source (hr /day) and I am guessing there is co2 injection. so you might want to reduce co2 by lowering bubble count per second.

There is no easy formula to combat bba. you need patient

Hi I tried dosing with sachem excel, but my spikey moss turns brown . Am i doing it wrongly?

Best formulae to combat bba is to reduce light duration marginally，bring up co2 rate marginally (watch your life stock) and increase water change volume and frequency.

This combined with yamato shrimp and sae should slowly contain and fix your bba over the weeks.

To keep bba at bay, you will have to adjust your lighting frequency with fert regime and water change.

Depends on the type of plants... if its those hardy types like anubias, their tough leaves can usually withstand brief exposure to higher doses of excel, but for more delicate plants like mosses, usually it'll end up melting them too.
