Coral sand? For aquascaping? Erm....what flora and fauna you plan to have?
4 years since I took a break from this Hobby and it all started again when I decided to have a little greenary/water and life again in my room.
A humble effort naively vanquished to pursue a grand effort:

A 50cm x 34cm x 36cm Tank
Coral Sand Substrate*
15W T5 Light
Plants: Nana, Anubias Nana, Golden Nana, Java Moss
No lifestock
Overhead Trickle Filtration System
*I was left ruling how rushed of a decision this tank was and shurgging off the "want" to have a better tank/setup*

More Plants & Rocks were added as I tried to reshape the look to becoming something I could & would love.

This though wasn't satisfactory and my heavy research for Products/Ideas & direction begun through online articles/forums & LFS hunts.
More rocks were purchased & Prepared:

As well as a whole lot of new Equipments, low-tech wasn't my direction:
Went Solenoid for better & easier handling

Alumnium

A proper filtration system was required & after much research & deliberation, i chose to go with an Italian cannister that gave 5 years warranty:

I decided on LED

& No more coral sand substrate, I decided to be safe and stick with what most hobbyist swear by:

WOW! Your first pics and the subsequent ones show you really mean business. Enjoy! Looking forward to your scape
Holy is the Lord, God Almighty ! The Earth is filled with His Glory !
90 x 50 x 50 cm tank: Eheim 2217; ANS CO2 Solenoid with 60mm intense bazooka; Zetlight 6400; Teco 500 Chiller; Borneo Wild Steel inlet/outlet
Ferts: Dry Mixture/Dr Mallicks. Temp: 26 degrees Substrate: ADA Amazonia
No aquascapper can be serious if they don't bother about their water parameters right ?
uploadfromtaptalk1406964044374.jpg
And after making a comparison, I decided on a separate surface skimmer & chose this over the Ehiem one

First scape attempt in 4 years with a proper substrate & I am honestly very very disappointed with myself.

Limited by tank size, couldnt get a hardscape formation I liked
Choice of sand color was bad
Soil ended up covering sand after screwing up during water top-up
Mosses weren't done properly & lava rocks were / are an eye sore
On a positive note, I'm liking these equipments & their looks:

Hmm, try to use only 1 type of rock in the same tank, it will look more natural and nicer. The ada soil at the back will collapse to the front sooner or later if you do not have a separating barrier...well more work to separate them when it collapse or roll down...
If you need more info or step by steps, you can refer to my blog, the link is below my signature

NICE thread...!
The cabinet looks empty. Maybe a chiller?
Oh and don't forget the glass lily pipes...
