Just to share what i spotted in stock at Far East Florist (Queensway branch) last weekend:



Meant to be used to pot marginal/pond plants and has less nitrogen content to reduce algae issues. SGD$13.90 for 20 litres bag.

I've read about chaps using it as substrate for their tanks. Not sure how well it fares in aquariums though, but i guess it could be an option for those on a budget and looking to try alternative substrates.
