Can try using assassin snails. They eat snails

Hi there, You could try this method I have read online.
Place a slice of cucumber or lettuce (need to weigh it down to substrate) in the tank at night, and leave it overnight and remove it the next morning with most of the snails eating on it. Repeat the process till the snail population is in control.
If your tank is large enough, for example 3ft or 4ft tank, you can consider getting clown loaches as they hunt snails for food.
Hope it helps!
Thanks a lot bro. Roughly how many do I need to get and where can I get them?
If there are too many snails in my tanks, I spend a few days crushing as many as I can find and give the fishes a snack. After that, the population should have gone down to a more manageable level. But if you're trying to remove every single snail in your tank (difficult, but no impossible), vipered's lettuce method should work, as long as you're conscientious in doing it over several consecutive days.
Small is beautiful.
Will clown loaches destroy some of the plant setup?
I used to encounter similar problem as yours on my 4 ft planted. Methods I tried.
1) Catch using snail trap(off the shelves) and by hand around 50 per day - No use
2) Introduce Assasin snail - no use and in the end from 5 become 100 in 3 months.
3) Increase CO2 injection - Very useful and within 1 week, all snails gone.
Take note when you increase CO2, look out for your fish behavior.
I did not try adding dwarf puffer or loaches as they do not match what I want eventually.
Maintain your pH between 6.0 to 6.5.Snails hate that condition and eventually will slowly
disappear.
Guppies in one tank, an assortment of zebra danio, tiger barb, red-tailed rasbora, gobies and croaking gourami in another tank. They'll pick at the crushed snails until just the shell fragments are left. Anything they miss out, the shrimps will finish.
Small is beautiful.
Bought 5 assasin snail. Hope it helps..thanks for all the advise. Will try out 1 by 1.
Assassin snails work wonders. I had a massive pond snail infestation (the walls were all covered with them). Within 3 weeks after introducing 3 assassin snails, most if not all snails were gone already, together with many eggs laid by the assassin snails. Two months on, I'm positive that there are no more pond snails left. Instead i'm left with quite a fair number of assassin snails now.
