Hi need some advice. Setting up my cO2 set but after some initial bubbles, the bubble counter seem to stop working. Not sure what's the cause as tank is newly bought and full and pressure indicator on solenoid looks ok. Appreciate your advice what's causing this and how to resolve this. Thanks.

    Re: Co2

What type of equipment are you using to diffuse the Co2 into the tank? ie. in-tank ceramic diffuser, inline atomizer, inline reactor etc?

Check for leakage between the bubble counter and the nozzle. Make sure the rubber washer is intact too.

    Re: Co2

As queried by UA, what kind of equipment are you using to diffuse your CO2?

Some methods (eg certain types atomizers capable of fine bubbles) require higher working pressure (eg. minimum 3.5 bar) which your solenoid is not able to meet.

I use the in-tank ceramic diffuser.

Yes....bubble initially and can see the bps getting higher the more I turn it. But after a while the bubble totally gone...even if knob turned to max.

    Re: Co2

Yes both knobs turn on. Solenoid should be working...lights on. I tried it on another set of solenoid and same problem. So do 't think it's solenoid problem.

    Re: Co2

Looks like you are using JBJ Solenoid which comes with the bubble counter and CO2 tube. I have bought the same one from Seaview couple of months back and the bubble counter that comes with it is not working. Try replacing the bubble counter and see if it works.

    Re: Co2

Thanks to all's comments. I think I found the problem though not sure if it's the cause but at least it works now. I change the diffuser which had been working until the day before and problem goes away. The diffuser looks alright though. Will test it on another CO2 set to confirm when I have some time over next few days.
