Eheim Products Made In Germany or PRC?

Just went down to Wu Hu and talked to the boss there about ordering my 3 feet tank...I was surprised when I talked to him about my interest in using Eheim Pro Ecco 300 external filters.

Apparently, he told me that Eheim products esp the filters are no longer made in Germany but in China....He even recommended me to use a Eheim Professionel 3 lookalike which is made by a brand called Jebao for just 98 bucks and nobody bothers to use Eheim.I am at a loss of what external filter to use right now.

Anyone can advise or comment on Eheim's products nowadays?

I heard that the chassis is now made in China but the motor is still German made.

Using classic 250 since mid 2012, no issues so far.

My LFS has stopped taking in Eheim products as they are all made in China now apparently. They said there are clearing stock of Eheim in their store now which are all German made. So yea.. That's what I heard la.
