get lushgro micros for FE and Potassium dihydrogen phosphate( KH2PO4) or Potassium sulphate (K2SO4) for your K. both are from ecocityhydroponics.
Hi all,
I am running a low-tech tank now with nothing but various variant of Anubias.
Initially I was only running off a 30w T8 light on a 3x1.5x1.5 tank.
Leaves start to turn yellowish with holes.
Not the best start.
I am thinking of dosing some ferts which should hopefully aim their growth.
I am already dosing LushGRO Aqua but still need some K and FE.
Other than Seachem K and FE, are there more cost-efficient brands out there?
Something like a LushGRO?
Thanks in advance!
(gonna try ferts first for a quarter or 2 before I concede defeat that light might be the real reason)

@ urbach, please enlighten me how the lushgro may be a more cost effective solution.
I got this information from the ecocity webby for Potassium Sulphate - "Add as a supplement when required @ 1-2g/litre of water"
Say I have a 2ft tank (~80L), this means I need to add a minimum of 80g into my tank/dose.
And if I buy the mid size package of 500g, at most I can dose 6 times.
I am sure the Seachem fertilizers can last longer than 6 doses?
just a very simple explanation. you need to use http://calc.petalphile.com/ or APC calculator for dry dosage.
Thanks Urbach, the calculator is AWESOME!
I was googling for a calculator for dry dosage but can't find any.
You are a life saviour!
1 thing, what's the difference between dosing KH2PO4 and K2SO4? Any pros and cons between them?
kh2po4 = Potassium and phosphate. K2SO4 = Potassium and sulphate. since you using lushgro aqua, best get the kh2po4. not forgetting to get your lushgro micro too. recommended to get calcium sulphate or seachem equilibrium. just a very small amount to add after each water change. but it's your call.
