Always do soap bubble test after connecting the CO2

Yes,soap the solenoid...you dont have to remove anything else..soap it to test for air leaks..
and dont soap anything else with the soap..![]()

not the electrical part of the solenoid of course, but check all the connection. Did you put the nylon CO2 washer? Suppose to be inside the connector between CO2 tank and the solenoid. Or maybe asked your friend to install for you.
Look like something like this

i didn't see something like that..
probably missing? i don't know ...
i believe since my friend runs a LFS, he ought to know such stuff.. afterall, he's the one who poison me in the first place
my encounter with the co2 tank really short,
day 1, install and few hours later, empty..
after a month or so, collected on last sat, run for an hour, depleted or leaked..
maybe its a sign.. telling not to use the co2 tank![]()

actually, i contemplating.. between mini fissidens and it seems the mini fissiden is much cuter..
the downside is that they always grew on mesh while i prefer something on the rock.
at least i could maximize space in the tank..
mini fissidens are not cheap plus i saw one buddy housing a number of fissidens, it's really drooling..

been thinking if i should really consider adding more light for my tanks.
currently using up aqua t series, kinda weak compare to their Z series.
growth is slow especially for the foreground.
the dimension of my tanks are: 40cm & 50cm, so finding a suitable LED lamp for my tanks, are really a challenge.
selling away my existing T series is kinda wasted as i bought them brand new from seaview..
hence adding more lights seem to be a better option.
either i can do my own as i have many 5050 LED, just purchase a driver to power them.
or i could buy the following from ebay:
Attachment 44022
specs:
37cm 42LED Fish Tank Bar:
Number of lights: 1 bar
Number of LED: 42
Color of LED: white, blue and RGB
Size: approx. 37 x 1.8cm/ 14.56" x 0.7"
Cable Length: approx. 110cm/ 43.3"
Power input: AC 100-240V
Power: 2.5W
48cm 57LED Fish Tank Bar:
Number of lights: 1 bar
Number of LED: 57
Color of LED: white, blue and RGB
Size: approx. 48 x 1.8cm/ 18.89" x 0.7"
Cable Length: approx. 110cm/ 43.3"
Power input: AC 100-240V
Power: 4W
will it look funny, light on top and in between the tank?
will they do any harm to the fish?
will temperature increase?
your advice, thank you
yes, i jinx myself.. i already exceed $300
purchased a lot of unnecessary and regrets.

Or buy another set similarly with your current model? I never use led, but generally speaking, when u add 1 more equivalent bulb, you double the intensity / par .

yeah but T series are not cheap..
the Led that i posted, cost around USD$10 for a 50cm, $9.50 for a 40cm.
add up, still cheaper than T series..
i bought my T series for around $30-$40 each.
i regretted, i ought to do my homework and hunt the whole singapore for Z series.

if you want to buy cheap led,for plants it have to 6500k for white light. Its a long explanation if i'm going to type it so
Read this article about lighting,
http://www.americanaquariumproducts...._lighting.html
Do note that although "any" light can grow plants, its more than just color temperature and wattage that affects whether a LED light is efficient for growing plants... there are also the specific spectrums of the particular LEDs that determine how much of the light is actually usable by the plants for photosynthesis.
At least for those commercial LED lightsets designed for planted tanks that people have already used to successfully grow plants in their tanks, you know they work and have a reliable tried and tested reference point to base upon for your own setups.
milk_vanilla has a good point about considering just adding a 2nd equivalent set of lights to boost the overall intensity... based on box specs, the T-Series lights has around half the number of LEDs as the Z-Series lights (both use the exact same type of LEDs), so theoretically if you use 2 x T-Series lights, its like using 1 x Z-Series light.

I got some ada tank and ada aqua sky light to sell. giving up 2 tank. let me kow if u r interested
