Any kind of fish will eat planaria? I'm not planning on using any medication or trap for this. My tank have a whole bunch of them. Many thanks.

Most fishes will eat planaria... if they are hungry enough. Planaria seem to be a last resort food though, commercial food taste alot better to fishes.

If the planaria are still small size, then small fishes like rasboras, tetras, scarlet badis could help (may not be 100% but can control the population somewhat)... but if the planaria have grown to large sizes, then have to use larger fishes like gouramis or guppies.

Cutting back on feeding (the usual cause of planaria population bloom) and more regular tank maintenance will help even more.

Note that planaria usually pop up most often in shrimp tanks (due to the lack of fishes to predate on them), so if you are keeping a shrimp tank and if you add in these fishes, there is a chance they may also hunt and eat the shrimps or shrimplets in the tank too.

I see. So will indostomus paradox will help clear off some of the population? I assume that this fish is shrimp safe.

Indostomus Paradoxus may eat the super tiny baby planaria and nematodes, but i don't think they can handle normal sized planaria.

I've observed my own indostomus paradoxus fishes busy striking at and eating critters that i can't even see with my own eyes... although they seem to have round bellies, i'm always puzzled about what they are actually eating.

Some pygmy cories? I do see them snacking on the planaria in my tank.
