Next rescape I ll just get metal ones. Glass ones too overrated... Must clean every other week. That's too much of a maintenance for me

    Just sharing,

You can also use cotton wool and use water to flush thru the glass pipe... you may want to tape the inlet so the cotton wool could be flush thru easily, but just ensure you have an opening on the end, else you will have trouble getting the cotton wool out.

I use this method for all my pipes and it would much better than those commercial pipe cleaner...

    Re: New 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 scape

Hmm I understand the use of the long brush thingy. But that is easy for the outlet. There is no way to brush inlet unless I remove the piping from the inlet.. and that my friend, is TOO much of a hassle for a classic eheim lol

The outlet is easy, use the flexible brush. The inlet a bit tricky, my trick is to turn off the filter and use a syringe to inject H2O2 inside. Do it weekly and it will always clean, at least the part that inside the tank

    Re: New 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 scape

Hmm h2o2 I have heard. But injecting it won't get it into the top portion? Someone should invent removable inlet pipe or rather detachable inlet so can use sponge clean easily as well. But thanks for the tip. I will clean outlet first heh
