Did the instruction say to wash it?
I supposed soils are like base fertilisers. They mustn't be washed and are to be placed at the bottom of tank and topped up with normal gravel.
Anyway, check with Mr Chan from NA to confirm.
has anyone ever used nutrient soil..i bought volcania from na...i washed it a few times and placed it in my tank..however when i filled it up with water, it is very cloudy..does it always happen like this? i dont think its possible to wash it thoroughly as it will become like mud if u pressed hard on these soil..thx and pls help

Most likely it's from ADA... And I don't think you should have washed soil. Try washing Aquasoil one day... makes your life rock :P
But since you have washed it... do water changes then. Should clear up the matter.
geez thx..i woke up this morning and the water is already crystal clear..
