[quote:080470c245="Plantbrain"]Is the algae you have on the glass, is it a soft film? You can wipe it off with your hand almost?
And does it appear to grow back a few hours or less on the glass?

Exactly. I did something simliar what you've said since the last post before yours, and the thing is no longer there now. Only a bit of patches here and there that still remains and won't stop.

Green dust? It's the first I've heard of it. :P I learnt something new today. Thanks

It's a relativbely new soft green, it's a slight nuisance, doesn't infest plants, so I give it a "C" rating like Green water.

Conditions are good for plants with these algae, but you still need to remove the algae that are there.

UV and scrubbing can help also.

does this reddish hard patch always at the waterline?.......if it is, its calcium buildup and its turn reddish due to collected stuff........

no. it is at below the water line... at first i thought it was fish food that the fish had squashed up against the glass but it doesn't seem to be... its not really red, a bit rust coloured.... and only a few small patches here and there... not a lot like the green stuff... (yes i have green stuff too but can be scrapped of... haha)

    thanks!
